Saleh Bakri is a Palestinian actor. He is the son of Mohammed Bakri (also nominated in this category for the same film) and brother to Adam Bakri (an APSA nominee in 2013 for Omar). Saleh broke out with The Band’s Visit (2007), for which he won the Best Supporting Actor Award of the Israeli Film Academy and Jerusalem Film Festival’s Wolgin Award for Most Promising Actor. Other notable credits include Wajib director Annemarie Jacir’s Salt of This Sea (2008) and the title role in Salvo (2013), which won the Critics Week Grand Prize as well as the France 4 Visionary Award at the Cannes Film Festival.
