Dan Kleinman is a screenwriter known for his genre works in the 1970s and ‘80s including Rage (1972) with George C Scott, and television series Tales from the Darkside. He has taught filmmaking at New York and Columbia universities and has mentored the Sundance Screenwriting Lab.
Sameh Zoabi was born in Palestine. A graduate of Tel Aviv University, he pursued further studies in the United States and participated in a Cannes Film Festival residency as well as the Sundance Screenwriters Lab. Filmmaker Magazine named Zoabi one of the “Top 25 New Faces of Independent Cinema.” He co-wrote APSA-winning film The Idol (2015) and in 2018 was awarded the Venice Film Festival’s Interfilm Award for Tel Aviv on Fire.

The Asia Pacific Screen Academy expresses its respect for and acknowledgement of the South East Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. We recognise the integral role Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and First Nations peoples continue to play in storytelling and celebration spaces.
