Daniel Story began his career by working on all three The Lord of the Rings movies (2001-2003) for director Peter Jackson in his home country of New Zealand. He then moved into script development and international film sales and distribution for the New Zealand Film Commission across seven years. He has since become an independent producer of films that have been released globally and screened at prominent international film festivals, including Toronto International Film Festival, South by Southwest, and Berlin International Film Festival. His feature film works include popular New Zealand horror movie Housebound and Born to Dance, which competed for the Crystal Bear for Generation 14plus at Berlin. He helped produce the animated television miniseries Rainbocorns. Mosley is his first animated feature as producer and is his first APSA nomination.

We pay our respects to the Traditional Owners of country, including the custodial communities on whose land works are created and celebrated by the Asia Pacific Screen Awards. We acknowledge the continuing connection to land, waters and communities. We also pay our respects to Elders, past and present. We recognise the integral role Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and First Nations peoples continue to play in storytelling and celebration spaces.
