Kathy Sarpi

Kathy Sarpi is a Naarm–based multidisciplinary artist, freelance animator and educator. She has worked as an animator on cartoons in various animation studios including Princess Bento, Kapow Pictures, Studio Moshi and Gibbon Animation along with writing, animating and directing her own short films. Kathy is also a lecturer at Collarts and at the Victorian College of the Arts teaching 2D animation. She graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts in 2016 with a degree in fine arts and her award–winning graduate film Habits has been screened in festivals worldwide. Her art practice includes painting, comics, collage and sculpture. Enthusiastic about collaborating with other artists, she has curated shows for Platform Arts Geelong and Trocadero Art Space and enjoys experimenting with new mediums to express herself.
