Anurag Kashyap is one of India’s most prolific and influential filmmakers of modern times and has had roles as director, producer, writer and actor across over 40 films to date and founded his film production company, Anurag Kashyap Films, in 2009. Kashyap won the APSA Jury Grand Prize in 2012 for his epic two-parter Gangs of Wasseypur, one of his three directorial works to be presented at Cannes’ Directors Fortnight along with Ugly (2014) and now Psycho Raman (2016). He also produced APSA Jury Grand Prize winner The Lunchbox (2013) and APSA Best Youth Feature Film nominee Udaan (2010). For his contribution to the arts, the French Government made him Knight of the Order of the Arts and Letter in 2013. Psycho Raman is his 13th directed feature.
