Indira Naidoo is one of Australia’s most popular broadcasters and over the past 20 years has presented and reported for some of the country’s most distinguished news and current affair programs. These include ABC’s Late Edition nightly news, The 7.30 Report and SBS Television’s award-winning late night news service, World News Tonight. Indira has also made guest appearance on Good news Week, Roy and HG, Rove and Celebrity Masterchef.
In recent years Indira has used her communications experience to advise the country’s pre-eminent consumer advocacy group, Choice, and the UN’s sustainability and trade arm in Geneva, The International Trade Centre. In 2009 Indira was selected to be trained by former US Vice President Al Gore to conudct regular presentations about the impacts of anthropogenic climate change. India has presented the APSA ceremony since its inception in 2007.
The Asia Pacific Screen Academy expresses its respect for and acknowledgement of the South East Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. We pay our respects to the Traditional Owners of country, including the custodial communities on whose land works are created and celebrated by the Asia Pacific Screen Awards. We acknowledge the continuing connection to land, waters and communities. We also pay our respects to Elders, past and present. We recognise the integral role Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and First Nations peoples continue to play in storytelling and celebration spaces.
