Alex C Lo

Cinema Inutile is a film development, production and finance company founded in New York City and Tokyo by producer Alex C. Lo that focuses on international co-productions between Asia, Europe, Latin America and the US.  Their aim is to guide audiences towards underrepresented perspectives committed to artistic risk-taking as well as unique stories that encourage global conversation. Alex’s most recent producing credits include STRANGER EYES (2024 Venice, Competition) by Siew Hua Yeo, HAPPYEND (2024 Venice, Orizzonti) by Neo Sora, AN UNFINISHED FILM by Lou Ye (2024 Cannes, Official Selection) and VIÊT AND NAM (2024 Cannes, Un Certain Regard) by Troung Minh Quy.

The Asia Pacific Screen Academy expresses its respect for and acknowledgement of the South East Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
