Archil Gelovani

Archil Gelovani is a film producer and founder of Independent Film Project, a Tbilisi–based production company. IFP is one of the first independent studios in Georgia. It was founded in 2006 to introduce new talents and establish successful creative collaborations with respected filmmakers. Today IFP focuses on high-end auteur-driven cinema, and premium high-concept series and documentaries of socially significant context. Within IFP Archil has produced award-winning Georgian and international co-productions that were shown at Cannes, Rotterdam and Edinburgh, among others. Archil is an EAVE graduate and a member of the European Film Academy.

The Asia Pacific Screen Academy expresses its respect for and acknowledgement of the South East Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. We pay our respects to the Traditional Owners of country, including the custodial communities on whose land works are created and celebrated by the Asia Pacific Screen Awards. We acknowledge the continuing connection to land, waters and communities. We also pay our respects to Elders, past and present. We recognise the integral role Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and First Nations peoples continue to play in storytelling and celebration spaces.
