Kirin Kiki is a revered Japanese actress with over 100 film and television credits. Winner of two Japanese Academy Awards for Best Actress for films Tokyo Tower: Mom and MeSometimes Dad (2011) and Chronicles of my Mother (2011) and over a dozen Best Supporting Actress awards in Japan and internationally, Kiki has received two high national honours from the Japanese government. A collaborator with Japanese auteur and APSA Academy member Hirokazu Koreeda on the films Our Little Sister (2015) Like Father, Like Son (2013) I Wish (2011) and Still Walking (2008), Kiki is widely known for her role in Studio Ghibli’s The Secret World of Arietty (2010). In An she stars alongside her granddaughter Kyara Uchida.
