Born in 1976, Nobuhiro Yamashita is a very popular director in Japan who has garnered immense support from film fans for many years. In his early days, he was often compared to Aki Kaurismäki and Jim Jarmusch for his characters of young drifters. Linda Linda Linda (2006), his first 35mm film, was a popular success. The recent blockbuster success of Lets Go Karaoke! (2024) is still fresh in peoples minds.
