Pierce Davison

Pierce began his career in his early teens when he secured a small quantity of gunpowder. After filming the blowing up of a selection of pottery he felt the need to add story. Making the short film UFO Inferno (1996) with his brother Seymour, he entered it into a bunch of film festivals who loved the story of an alien stealing cows and blowing up nazis. As the film did well Pierce was expelled from his commerce degree, so he moved into the arts full time. Since then he‘s made a bunch of stop motion shorts. Pierce prides himself as a solutionist.

The Asia Pacific Screen Academy expresses its respect for and acknowledgement of the South East Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. We pay our respects to the Traditional Owners of country, including the custodial communities on whose land works are created and celebrated by the Asia Pacific Screen Awards. We acknowledge the continuing connection to land, waters and communities. We also pay our respects to Elders, past and present. We recognise the integral role Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and First Nations peoples continue to play in storytelling and celebration spaces.
