Thomas Hakim founded petit chaos in 2018 with Julien Graff. The company has produced 12 short films and two features, both directed by Payal Kapadia: A Night of Knowing Nothing, which premiered in 2021 in Directors‘ Fortnight where it won the Golden Eye for Best Documentary, and All We Imagine as Light, which premiered in 2024 in Cannes Competition and won the Grand Prix. Thomas is a Berlinale Talent, a Locarno Match Me! participant, an EAVE alumnus and an EFA member.
The Asia Pacific Screen Academy expresses its respect for and acknowledgement of the South East Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. We pay our respects to the Traditional Owners of country, including the custodial communities on whose land works are created and celebrated by the Asia Pacific Screen Awards. We acknowledge the continuing connection to land, waters and communities. We also pay our respects to Elders, past and present. We recognise the integral role Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and First Nations peoples continue to play in storytelling and celebration spaces.
