Born in Taiwan, Vincent Wang came to France at the age of 13. After studying science and then cinema, he began his career as producer with Taiwanese Filmmaker Tsai Ming Liang in 1999. This artistic encounter prompted him to return to his home country to create the production company Homegreen Films with Tsai Ming Liang and collaborate with him during more than 13 years.
He became an independent producer of films such as What Time Is It There?, selected for the official competition of the Cannes Film Festival in 2001, and The Wayward Cloud, awarded the Silver Bear at the 2005 Berlin Film Festival.

In 2013, he was awarded the Grand Jury Prize at the 2013 Venice Film Festival for Tsai Ming Liang’s Stray Dogs. His deep knowledge of both Western and Chinese culture along with his production savoir-faire have greatly contributed to the success of these Chinese-European films. In 2009, with the creation of his Parisian production company House on Fire with Antoine Barraud, he continued to produce quality works between Asia and Europe, such as those of the great filmmakers João Pedro Rodrigues and Wang Bing and those of the emerging generations like Antoine Barraud, Midi Z, Carlo Francisco Manatad and Zhang Tao.
