Ranabir Das is a cinematographer based in Mumbai. He graduated from the Film and Television Institute of India. His first feature film as a cinematographer, The Shepherdess and the Seven Songs, premiered at the Berlinale in 2020. The second film shot and co-produced by him, A Night of Knowing Nothing, premiered at the Quinzaine des réalisateurs at Cannes 2021 and won the L’oeill D’or.
He shot and co-produced Payal Kapadia’s All We Imagine as Light, which won the Grand Prix at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.

We acknowledge the continuing connection to land, waters and communities. We also pay our respects to Elders, past and present. We recognise the integral role Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and First Nations peoples continue to play in storytelling and celebration spaces.
