Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) started a revolution in the world of filmmaking with the release of Star Wars in 1977. Since then, the ILM name has become synonymous with ground-breaking visual effects work and the company continues to be a recognized leader in the field.
Join Luke Hetherington, Executive in Charge of ILM’s Singapore and Sydney studios as he uses examples from ILM work on films like Solo: A Star Wars Story and Rogue One, to demonstrate how well designed VFX implemented from pre production through post production can strengthen the visual theme and story of the filmmaker’s vision.
Luke’s credits include: Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Ready Player One, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Avengers: End Game, Avengers: Infinity War, Monster Hunt 2, Sucker Punch, Knowing, Stealth, and original sci-fi TV series, Farscape. Luke was a member of the Asia Pacific Screen Awards’ Youth Animation Documentary International Jury in 2018.
