Indira Naidoo

Indira Naidoo is one of Australia’s most popular broadcasters and over the past 20 years has presented and reported for some of the country’s most distinguished news and current affair programs. These include ABC’s Late Edition nightly news, The 7.30 Report and SBS Television’s award-winning late night news service, World News Tonight. Indira has also made guest appearance on Good news Week, Roy and HGRove and Celebrity Masterchef.

In recent years Indira has used her communications experience to advise the country’s pre-eminent consumer advocacy group, Choice, and the UN’s sustainability and trade arm in Geneva, The International Trade Centre. In 2009 Indira was selected to be trained by former US Vice President Al Gore to conudct regular presentations about the impacts of anthropogenic climate change. India has presented the APSA ceremony since its inception in 2007.

Peter Thompson

Host

Peter Thompson is an accomplished journalist with more than 20 years experience in the broadcast media.

A long-term host with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s television and radio networks, he currently hosts the weekly ABC Television interview program Talking Heads, which is now going into its sixth year. Previously, he has presented Radio National’s Breakfast and the flagship current affairs program, AM. Peter is a Professor and Fellow of the Australia and New Zealand School of Government and an adjunct Professor at Macquarie University’s Department of International Communication. He also holds a Master of Public Administration from Harvard, an  MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management and a BA from the Australian National University.
