Film Synopsis

A spirited meditation on terminal illness, Manang Biring is a comedy-drama featuring a feisty old lady who has learned to accept her imminent demise, until the day she learns of her long-estranged daughter’s return from abroad. As Biring races against time, she goes to great lengths to prolong her life and gift her daughter and grandson with a happy Christmas. Made using the rotoscoping technique – animating on top of live action footage – this poignant, yet surprisingly funny film is a heartfelt animation for adults.
