To give teenager Yeongjae more opportunities in life than his dysfunctional parents can offer, he spends his youth in a church sponsored Catholic foster home for underprivileged children. When societal problems arise, he is unable to face returning home to his real family, despite his strong bond with his younger brother. Desperate to create a new life and new opportunities, Yeongjae tries to convince the church that he wants to become a priest, whilst at the same time stealing goods from his foster family and selling them for money. With no-one to guide him Yeongjae has to struggle to find his own path to adulthood.
